Quick Details
Marlins is community based club (Beach Fitness CIC) aimed at young people aged 8yrs upwards that want to have fun learning more about beach and water safety including surfing, body boards, paddle boards.
We state that all Marlins have a minimum of 50m swimming ability (unaided in a pool) as the sessions will be taking them out of their depth and they need to be confident in their ability. Marlins is not a ‘Learn to Swim’ class.
The focus of these sessions is health, fitness, safety, learn new skills, build confidence, community and most of all have fun!
There will be ongoing training and assessment for various certificates through Surfing England Grom Squad and also the RLSS Rookie Lifeguard scheme.
Our sessions are 1hr each week and we meet in Sandown at the iSurf hut.
You will need to bring your own wetsuit, which is suitable for the weather and temperature and comfortable to wear, run, swim in.
Please Note: To book for the month, you pay for the session on the first Thursday of the month.
